Gravity Fed Portable Emergency Eyewash Station Information:
Self Contained portable emergency eyewash units are ideal anywhere a water supply is not available. The gravity fed emergency eyewash by Bradley flushed eyes for 15 minutes at a minimum of 0.4 gallons/ minute by using only 7 gallons of water. Transparent tank assembly lets you see at a glance when it's time to clean or refill the tank. Sturdy pedestal with hinged eyewash tray pulls down in one quick motion. Removable tank is inverted onto pedestal, piercing a liner. Stainless steel clamps hold tank to pedestal. When arm is pulled down, water flow is activated.
This Portable Emergency Eyewash Unit is available with an insulated heater jacket thermostatically controls water in weather conditions down to -20 degrees F. The heater jacket is a high-visibility yellow, waterproof insulated jacket made of 200 denier foam backed nylon with clear vinyl pocket.

Emergency Eyewash and Emergency Showers should be installed in accessible locations that require no more than 10 seconds to reach (equates to approximately 55 feet from hazardous areas). All emergency equipment must be identified with a highly visible sign positioned near or on the fixture in a well lighted area. You must provide adequate water drainage through a floor drain system or other means. All contaminated waster should be disposed of according to local codes and ordinances. * Emergency Eyewash units expel a minimum of 6 gallons of fluid.
ANSIZ358.1-2004 does not include Barrier Free equipment specifications for Americans with Disabilities. Barrier-Free Emergency Equipment is typically designed using standard ADA codes for non-emergency fixtures. To comfortably accomodate wheel chair users, Barrier-Free Emergency Eyewashes should extend 19" minimum from the wall or nearest obstruction and have a 27" minimum knee clearance. The shower head should be 82" minimum from the floor and the end of the shower pull-rod handle should be no more than 48" in height from the floor.
OSHA 1910.151 (c) Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use.
Emergency Eyewash Stations and Emergency Showers must be available for immediate use in an emergency situation. The units must be flushed and tested and all repairs must be made promptly.
