Exit Sign- Self Luminous 10 Year Life Span Self-Luminous Exit Signs No electricity, batteries, or bulbs required - these EXIT signs stay continuously lit without the need for external power. Self-luminous exit signs are illuminated by hermetically-sealed glass tubes internally coated with phosphor and tritium gas filled. These self-contained, self-powered exit signs consume no energy, while providing continuous illumination and maintenance-free operation - unaffected by power failures. Has red polycarbonate faceplate with 6"h x 3/4" stroke letters (as specified by OSHA) and removable universal directional arrows. These single-faced, highly durable exit signs can withstand the harshest environments. They are vibration-, and water-proof, as well as unaffected by extreme temperatures (-67° to 176°F). Ideal for areas where egress markings are required and electricity is not readily available or it is too costly to run conduit or electrical wiring. Meets UL listed standard 924, and NFPA Life Safety Code 101 (5-10.3), as well as Building Officials and Code Administrators (BOCA) and the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO). Available in 10-, 15-, and 20-year effective life span. Also available in extruded, brushed aluminum frame (12" x 8 1/4" x 1 1/2") and injection-molded black ABS plastic frame (14 3/16" x 9 5/8" x 1 1/2") styles.
