The Flare Alert runs on 2 AA alkaline batteries (not included). Most AA batteries will last for approximately 20 hours (on flash mode) and 6-10 hours (using steady on mode) before significant dimming will occur. These Flare Alert battery operated flares are designed with a built in magnetic base.


These Battery operated flares are designed to be crush resistant, it can withstand over 4,500 pounds of direct pressure. Considering the weight of a vehicle is distributed over four tires, your battery operated flare alert will be able to withstand being run over by a 10,000 pound vehicle.
